Seak (* 1974 in Cologne ; passport entry SEAK Claus Winkler ) is a German painter with roots in the early graffiti scene from 1989 in the Rhineland.

Act

Seak has been working as a freelance artist in the Cologne area since 1991 and worldwide after being invited. He produces murals and pictures on canvas and paper, partly in a futuristic biomechanical 3-D style as his trademark. He took part in many important graffiti exhibitions such as the three Urban Discipline exhibitions in Hamburg, Graphicalogistics in Australia and the "Canvars", the horizon of the documenta in Kassel. Together with DAIM he designed the exhibition “DAIM & Seak” in the Defiance Gallery in Chicago and with Dare the exhibition “Dare and Seak” in Hamburg. He had his international breakthrough in 1998 with a portrait in the New York scene magazine "The Source".

In 2005 he received the culture award of the city of Hürth for his work in the Cologne and Hürth area .

In 2009, SEAK Claus Winkler was commissioned by the Thalys company to represent the city of Cologne by creating a train section for the Germany - Paris crossing on the new high-speed line. For this he was transported with the artists from France, the Netherlands and Belgium at Paris Gare du Nord with the Thalys and press support to Paris, where he met the requirements with the artists in just over 3 hours, which corresponds to the travel time Cologne Paris Gare du Nord Realizing a picture in his style on the train was successful. This premiere is so far unique for all artists worldwide. Thalys boss Olivier Pointrenaud signed the Thalys with the artists under the motto "At high speed into 2010".

The spray can company Molotov dedicated the color # 143 SEAK future-green to him.

reception

Seak is one of the most famous graffiti artists and the stars of the scene. Stefan Krulle says in the newspaper Die Welt that the thesis comes from Germany with pioneering techniques and styles that are now setting standards everywhere and would be confirmed by the works of art by SEAK.
