The Sealyham Terrier is a British dog breed recognized by the FCI ( No. 74, Gr. 3, Sec. 2 ) .
Origin and history
The Sealyham Terrier comes from Great Britain and was bred as an earth dog by crossing the Bassets with the Bull Terrier , the Fox Terrier , the West Highland White Terrier and the Dandie Dinmont Terrier .
The first club was founded in 1908 and the breed was officially recognized in 1910 . Its popularity declined until 1940 and today it is almost only found in England and South Africa .

The Sealyham Terrier is a short-legged, long-haired terrier that can be up to 31 cm tall and weigh about 9 kg. Weatherproof fur is its hallmark, it is long with hard and wiry outer hair with an undercoat in white or white with yellow, brown, blue or badger-colored markings. The ears are medium-sized, slightly rounded at the tips and carried on the side of the cheek.
Essence
The Sealyham Terrier is a pleasant companion and family dog, active outdoors, but also suitable for keeping indoors with sufficient exercise.
