Sean Davis (born September 20, 1979 in Clapham , London) is a former English football player .

Career

In his youth, Sean Davis played for Fulham FC before he made his debut in October 1996 in the club's 3-0 home win against Cambridge United in the fourth-rate third division . Davis was only 17 years old at the time. The talent then had to wait until the 1998/99 season for his next appearance, when he played a few games. He made his breakthrough a year later, when he became a regular player and reached ninth place in the second division with Fulham FC.

In the following season, Davis made promotion with Fulham and was able to establish himself in the Premier League in the 2002/03 season . After that he was even called up to the English national team, but was not used against Australia. In the summer of 2004, he moved to Tottenham Hotspur in London , where he was unable to assert himself. In January 2006, Portsmouth FC therefore took the chance and signed Sean Davis. The midfielder played a major role in the relegation in 2006 and the successful 2006/07 season.

From July 2009 until the end of the 2011/12 season, Davis was active with the Bolton Wanderers .
