Seaspans barges primarily transport raw materials such as various types of wood, rocks, gravel, limestone, fuel, crude oil. Seaspan Marine Corporation also operates Terminals u. a. in Port Vancouver , Victoria and Esquimalt .

Seaspan Ferries Corporation

Seaspan Ferries Corporation is a commercial ferry company that offers regular connections between Delta and Vancouver Island , Nanaimo and Swartz Bay . Seaspan Ferries mainly transports trailers and containers as well as trains on three ferries and four non-powered floating platforms (barges).

Shipyards

The Seaspan Group operates three shipyards :

  1. The Vancouver Drydocks are located at the north end of Vancouver Harbor. They have two dry docks for 36,000 tons and a 30,000 ton dock.
  2. Vancouver Shipyards develops and builds all types of tugboats and offers maintenance and overhauls. The plant includes a large steel molding plant, construction and factory buildings and a paint shop.
  3. The third shipyard, Victoria Shipyards , uses the Esquimalt Graving Dock on Vancouver Island. At this facility, owned by the Canadian state, ships up to 100,000 DWT can be repaired and overhauled. Victoria Shipyards is the largest ship repair center on Canada's Pacific coast.
