Sebastián Píriz , full name Sebastián Gerardo Píriz Ribas , (born March 4, 1990 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The midfielder Píriz, who is 1.85 meters tall according to the club, and 1.86 meters according to other sources, belonged to the youth team at least in 2007 and to the first division squad of Danubio FC from 2010 to 2012 . In the 2009/10 season he ran at the club from Montevideo in five games in the Primera División . He didn't score a goal. In the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons there are another 32 first division appearances for him, in which he scored a total of two goals (2010/11: 13 games (1 goal); 2011/12: 19 (1)). In December 2012 he moved to Club Atlético Peñarol . By the end of the season he was set up seven times (no goal) in the Primera División. He also had a match (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores with the "Aurinegros" that year. At the end of the season he won the Uruguayan championship with the team. In the 2013/14 season he played in another 20 first division games (no goal) and one game each of the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana 2013 . Internationally, he also remained without a personal goal. In the 2014/15 season he was used 28 times (eight goals) in the top Uruguayan league and five times (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . This was followed by 14 more first division appearances (no goal) in Apertura 2015, which he won with the team. He then moved to CA Tigre in mid-January 2016 , where he played eight first division games (no goal). With the Argentines he had signed a one and a half year contract. In mid-July 2016 he was signed by the Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab . With the Saudis he only played two league games (no goal) and was signed by CS Emelec from Ecuador in early January 2017 . There he has so far (as of March 4, 2017) in three top division games (no goal).

National team

Píriz was a member of the Uruguayan U-15 team coached by Ángel Castelnoble , which took part in the U-15 South American Championship in Bolivia in 2005 . He was a member of the Uruguayan U-17 national team and was part of the squad at the U-17 South American Championship in Ecuador in 2007 .
