Sebastián Rodríguez Veloso (born February 27, 1957 in Cádiz ) is a Spanish former terrorist and today's swimmer .
Rodríguez Veloso was sentenced in 1985 as a member of the Grupos de Resistencia Antifascista Primero de Octubre ( German groups of the anti-fascist resistance of October 1 ), which had carried out several bomb attacks, and sentenced to 84 years in prison for the murder of Rafael Padura. He was released from prison in 1996 because of his disability - Rodríguez Veloso has been in a wheelchair since a 432-day hunger strike - and finally pardoned in 2007 because of his success as a disabled athlete in class S5.
By July 2012, the Spaniard won eight gold and two silver and two bronze medals at the Paralympic Games ; he can also show that he has won six world championship titles.
