Etenesh Diro
Etenesh Diro ( Etenesh Diro Neda; born May 10, 1991 in Jeldu ) is an Ethiopian obstacle and long-distance runner .
In 2010, she finished third in the half marathon of Reims à toutes jambes .
In 2012, she was sixth over the 3000 m obstacle with a personal best of 9: 19.89 min at the Olympic Games in London . Shortly thereafter, she rose to third in DN Galan in Stockholm to 9: 14.07 minutes. Two weeks later, 9: 24.97 minutes was enough for her to win the Weltklasse Zürich after her compatriot Sofia Assefa was disqualified for leaving the track. In November she won the Obudu Mountain Run .
At the 2013 World Athletics Championships in Moscow, she finished fifth in 9: 16.97 minutes. In 2014 she finished fourth at the African Athletics Championships in Marrakech , and in 2015 she was eliminated at the World Championships in Beijing . In 2017 she qualified for the World Championships in London , where she finished seventh in the final .
Etenesh Diro is 1.69 m tall and weighs 47 kg.
