Sebastian Kaiser-Jovy

Sebastian Kaiser-Jovy (* 20th century) is a German sports economist and university professor .

Life

Sebastian Kaiser-Jovy studied sports science and sports economics at the German Sport University in Cologne and at the Distance University in Hagen . Between January 2004 and June 2008 he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Sports Economics and Sports Management at the Sports University in Cologne, where he completed his doctoral thesis in sports economics and sports sociology under Heinz-Dieter Horch .

Kaiser-Jovy continued his university career as a university professor for sports management at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences (2008 to 2012) and dean of studies at the SRH University of Heidelberg, and from 2009 to 2011 he held visiting professorships at the Latvijas Universitāte in Riga and from 2009 to 2011 at the Olympic University true in Sochi (Российский Международный Олимпийский Университет). At the beginning of 2015, he took up a professorship for general business administration at Heilbronn University ( Künzelsau campus ) specializing in sports management. From the same year Kaiser-Jovy was also visiting professor at the Univerzitet u Sarajevu . He is co-editor of the magazine "Sportwissenschaft" and is responsible in particular for the economic and social science area of ​​the work.

His research focuses on the socio-economic effects of major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, advertising in sport, brand management in sport, sport development planning, organizational development in sport and the management of sport organizations.
