Sebastian Rüter (born July 3, 1976 in Braunschweig ) is a German politician ( SPD ). In the state elections in Brandenburg in 2019 , he received a direct mandate in the Brandenburg state parliament in the constituency of Potsdam-Mittelmark IV .

Life

Sebastian Rüter finished school in Braunschweig with the Abitur in 1996. After his community service he studied administration and political science in Potsdam with a diploma in political science in 2008. He then took on a job as a trade union secretary at the railway and transport union . In 2013 he moved to Deutsche Bahn as head of the office of their European works council.

He has been a member of the Teltow City Council since 2019. He is also the party leader there.
