Sebastian Schröder (born September 2, 1988 ) is a German basketball player .

career

Schröder played at TuSpo Heroldsberg, then at the Franconian Witches and from 2009 at Nuremberg BC . Until 2011 he stayed with the Franks in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB , from 2011 he played with Nuremberg in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .

In Nuremberg (at NBC or its successor team Nuremberg Falcons BC) he rose to team captain and became the favorite of the supporters. At the beginning of the 2017/18 game year, he was not part of the Nuremberg squad due to a semester abroad in the United States before he returned to the team in December 2017. In August 2018 he won an international invitation tournament in Shanghai, China, with a selection of German and US players under the direction of trainer Ralph Junge  and was named the best player at the event. In the 2018/19 season, Schröder made it to the Bundesliga as runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. He scored 7.2 points per game during the promotion season.
