Life

He came from the Michelfeld line of the Lords of Gemmingen and was a son of Weirich von Gemmingen (1493–1548) and Benedikta von Nippenburg (1500–1570). While his brother Leonhard (1536–1583) inherited the headquarters in Michelfeld , the property in Ingenheim fell to him. In 1569 he and his brother were given the right to set up a stick and a gallows, as the subjects had been rebellious since 1556.

He died in Ingenheim in 1575 and was buried in Michelfeld. He was very full and left clothes three and a half cubits wide.

family

He was married to Juliane von Bödigheim (1536–1588). She was paralyzed and stayed in Ingenheim for a while after the death of her husband, later she moved to Pforzheim, where she died. She was also buried in Michelfeld. The couple left no children. Sebastian's property came to his brother Leonhard (1536–1583), who was also married to a Bödigheim daughter.
