Sebastian von Hatzfeld (* after 1523 ; † in the 16th century) was canon in Münster .

Life

Sebastian von Hatzfeld came from the noble family von Hatzfeld , who came from the upper Lahngau and whose name was derived from the parent company Hatzfeld . Numerous well-known personalities have emerged from it. He was the son of Hermann von Hatzfeld zu Werther (1493-1539) and his wife Anna Droste von Schweckhausen († 1553). They married in 1523. Through the marriage, which had eight children, the Werther estate came into the possession of the family in 1526 . Sebastian's brother Johann († 1564, ∞ Anna von Wendt ) succeeded his father as Herr zu Werther. His brother Heinrich was canon in Münster, Mainz and Paderborn, Wilhelm canon in Münster and Paderborn. Sebastian's uncle Georg was cathedral dean in Münster. In 1558 he received a cathedral praise from Münster , which he renounced that year .
