Schweckhausen is a district of Willebadessen in the district of Höxter , North Rhine-Westphalia . Until the municipal reorganization on January 1, 1975, Schweckhausen was an independent municipality in the Peckelsheim office .

Buildings

Schweckhausen Castle

Schweckhausen Castle was built by the von Spiegel family in the 16th century in the Weser Renaissance style. Before that there was a Benedictine monastery from 1194 on this site. The facility is privately owned and is used for recreation and leisure activities with horses.
