Sechenu-ah

The title Sechenu-ach , in German " provider of the royal tomb ", describes a high and important office in ancient Egypt . The so titled official was responsible for the supply and maintenance of royal tombs after Wolfgang Helck and Toby Wilkinson . He also supervised the priests of the dead who were active in the cult area. The title has been used since the early 1st dynasty . Officials received by name include Setka and Amka , who made careers under King ( Pharaoh ) Wadji (fourth ruler of the 1st dynasty) and Hor-Den (fifth king of the 1st dynasty) .
