Sedge Island ( Spanish name Isla Culebra ) is an island in the western Falkland Islands and is located east of the Jason Islands and northwest of Saunders Island . The flat island is characterized by meadows , tussock and the eponymous sour grass family (English Sedge ).
From 1978 onwards, settlers erected several buildings on the island and the unsuccessful sheep farming began.
