The Falkland Islands (rarely also Malwinen , from the French Îles Malouines, English Falkland Islands , Spanish Islas Malvinas ) are claimed by both Great Britain and Argentina , and most place and field names have both an English and a Spanish variant. The Spanish variants are rarely used outside of Argentina.
