The settlement of Teal Inlet ( Spanish Caleta Trullo ) is located in the south of the Salvador Water Bay on East Falkland . During the Falklands War , Teal Inlet was a landing point for British forces as part of the operation to capture Goose Green . As the war progressed, the settlement served as a port and safe place for the 11th Mine Countermeasures Squadron to be protected from Argentine air strikes during the retaking of Port Stanley .
