Sedlitschanen

The Sedlitschanen (Czech Sedličané ) were a West Slavic tribe in the far north-west of Bohemia . The focal point was the Sedlec Castle on the Eger (Ohře) in what is now Karlovy Vary .

history

In a boundary description of the diocese of Prague from the year 1086, which probably reflects the conditions at the time the diocese was founded in 973, Zedlica are specified as a neighbor of the Liusena ( Lutschanen ).

Until 1226 Sedlec 'was the center of a " provincia Sedlensis ". After that, Loket Castle ( civitas Loket ) became the administrative center of the Zettlitzer Ländchen .
