history

In 1994 the Archdiocese of Vienna decided to build a pastoral care center for the urban expansion area of Wulzendorf. Pastoral care center

In a gap in the multi-storey residential complexes in the district, a contradiction was found with a single-storey low-rise building. With an open rectangular flat roof construction on pillars, a kind of sky was built, which is linked to the sacred use of the canopy . The building itself is L-shaped with the sacred space as a multi-purpose room lengthways, the foyer or entrance area in the corner and the side rooms across. The remaining area of the canopy forms a generous, covered forecourt, where a tree was integrated through a disc-shaped roof opening.
