Seeztal, view from Walenstadt towards Flums

The Seeztal is the plain east of the Walensee in the Swiss Alps and part of the Sarganserland .

In Sargans, the Seeztal looks like a junction of the Chur Rhine Valley that continues straight ahead in a north-westerly direction , which here turns northeast as the St. Gallen Rhine Valley . In fact, the watershed between the Rhine and the Limmat tributaries is on the plain near Mels .

The villages of Walenstadt , Mels, Heiligkreuz , Flums and Tscherlach are located in the Seeztal .

The valley is traversed by the Seez , which comes from the Weisstannental and enters the plain near Mels. The level is crossed by the A3 motorway , the Ziegelbrücke-Chur railway line and the 380 kV Sils-Fällanden line.
