The Reiselfingen glider airfield is an airfield located about one kilometer southeast of the Reiselfingen district of Löffingen with the status of a glider airfield in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district . On the glider flight site, glider flights are predominantly carried out using winch or aircraft towing. Furthermore, the airfield is approved for three-axle controlled ultralights , motor gliders and motorized machines for the purpose of F-tows .
history
The glider airfield was opened in 1962 and gradually expanded in the following years. The first aircraft hangar was inaugurated in 1964 and a workshop was added in 1969. A second, large hall was added to the buildings on the glider airfield in 1989.
The grass runway 07/25 consists of a 630 meter long runway. A 1050 meter long towing line runs parallel to the runway.

The airfield is located north of the Wutach Gorge and south of Löffingen .

The Reiselfingen glider airfield is operated by the Reiselfingen glider group . The area belongs to part of the Reiselfingen glider group and other parts are leased by the community, church and local farmers.
Glider group
In the spring of 1962 the pilots of the "Glider Flying Group Hochschwarzwald" and the "Glider Flying Group Roter Milan " founded the "Luftsportvereinigung Hochschwarzwald eV Roter Milan". The founding location was the "Sonne" in Bonndorf and the seat of the association was also Bonndorf.
In 1969 the club was renamed "Segelfluggruppe Hochschwarzwald eV". The seat of the association remained in Bonndorf. It was not until 1970 that the company moved to Reiselfingen.
At a general meeting on March 19, 2005 the Reiselfinger Flieger decided to include the place name Reiselfingen in the club name. The association is registered today under "Segelfluggruppe Reiselfingen eV".
The "Segelfluggruppe Reiselfingen eV" is currently a training company for glider, cloud and aerobatics as well as for motor glider and ultralight pilots in the BWLV (Baden-Württemberg Air Sports Association).
