The Seibu-Yūrakuchō-Line ( Japanese 西武 有 楽 町 線 , Seibu Yūrakuchō-sen ) is a subway line of the Seibu Company in Nerima , Tokyo . The line connects the two stations of Nerima and Kotake-mukaihara and is mainly used by commuters. The stations are marked in purple ( ) on maps .

history

The line began with the section between Shin-Sakuradai and Kotake-Mukaihara and the through traffic to the Yūrakuchō line of the Eidan (now Tokyo Metro ). At that time it was not connected to other Seibu lines, so only Eidan trains were used. In 1994 the section between Shin-Sakuradai and Nerima was opened, which connects the route with the Ikebukuro line . Later that year a second track was added and through traffic to the Ikebukuro line began.
