The Hartlaub's Turaco ( Tauraco hartlaubi ), which after Gustav Hartlaub Hartlaubturako is called, is a bird art from the genus of tauraco ( Tauraco ) and belongs to the family of Turakos (Musophagidae).
description
The silk turaco is about 41 cm tall. It is mostly green, has a blue-black crown and a slightly pronounced hood , which is demarcated downwards by a thin white line that extends from the cracks of the mouth to the ear covers. There is a noticeable white spot in front of his eyes, and he has bare red skin around the eye sockets.
Silk turacos are resident birds , they live individually or in pairs and often appear in small groups on fruit-bearing trees. Usually they sit high in the foliage or run along on branches.
Occurrence
The silk turaco occurs in eastern Africa , Kenya , eastern Uganda and north-eastern Tanzania . They prefer the highland forests and adjacent highland areas.
