The Seidosero ( Russian Сейдозеро , Kildinsamisch : Се̄йдя̄вввьр ) is a lake in the west of the Kola Peninsula in the Russian Oblast of Murmansk .
The 8 km long lake is enclosed in the shape of a horseshoe by the Lowosero tundra . Its width varies between 1.5 and 2.5 km. The lake area is 10.9 km². The lake is at an altitude of 189 m. The Seidjawrjok drain ( Russian Сейдъяврйок ) drains the Seidosero in an easterly direction to the nearby Lowosero . Thus the Seidosero lies in the catchment area of the Voronja , which flows to the Barents Sea .
The lake name means "holy lake" in the Sami language .
