The franchise was founded on March 16, 2011 and has been playing in the WK League since the 2011 season.
In their first season, they only finished last. The franchise only scored 6 points from 21 games during the season. This was a new negative record in the WK League. The following season got significantly better. They reached 4th place at the end of the season. In the 2013 season, however, they could not defend their 4th place and finished fifth. The 2014 season went better than the previous season. They reached 4th place, with only 4 points missing from 3rd place. Last season, they moved from Daejeon to Gumi on January 29th and renamed themselves Gumi Sportstoto . They reached 5th place at the end of the season.
