The Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels Women's Football Club is a football franchise from Incheon , South Korea . The franchise owned by the steel company Hyundai Steel currently plays in the WK-League , the top division of women's football in South Korea. The franchise is the oldest in women's football in South Korea. So far you have won 3 championships in the WK League.

history

The franchise was founded in December 1993 and has been playing in the league since the WK-League was founded in 2008.

In the first season of the WK League, they reached second place, which entitled them to the championship games. In the final they lost the two games against Icheon Daekyo WFC with 0: 1 each. In the following season they reached the 1st place and played in the championship games against Suwon FMC WFC . They won the first leg 1-0, but lost 2-0 in the second leg. In 2011 they reached 2nd place again. This time they played in the semi-finals against defending champions Suwon FMC and won 2-1. In the final they played again against Icheon Daekyo. The first leg ended with a 2-2 draw, but the second leg Icheon Daekyo won 3-1 and were thus champions again. In 2012 they were only 3 points short of finishing first. Nevertheless, they had to play against Hwacheon KSPO WFC in the semifinals , which they won 3-2. Last year's champion Icheon Daekyo was waiting for the final. Incheon won the first leg 1-0, but they lost the second leg again 3-1, which is why they were only runner-up again. The 213 season was her best season to date. They achieved first place and expected the winner of the semifinal game Seoul WFC in the final . While the first leg ended 1-1 in Seoul, Incheon won the championship in the second leg thanks to a 3-1 win. With this they became champions for the first time after 4 years of runner-up. In 2014 they finished the regular season with a 7 point lead over second place. Icheon Daekyo awaited them in the final. Incheon won the first leg in Icheon 1-0. The second leg ended 0-0. This made them masters for the second time. Last season they finished first again with an 18 point lead and expected Icheon Daekyo in the final. The first leg in Icheon went 0-0, the second leg Incheon won on penalties . This is the third time in a row that they are WK League champions.
