Beatriz Zaneratto João (born December 17, 1993 in Araraquara , São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

society

Bia played school soccer in her hometown as a child. In 2007, when she was thirteen, she was accepted into the youth development team of the traditional local Ferroviária club , and in the following year she was appointed to the Brazilian youth team for the first time. With her teammate from Acadêmica Vitória Thaisinha , Bia moved to the Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels in the South Korean WK-League in spring 2013 , where she was active until 2019 with sustained success. On February 12, 2020, her move to SE Palmeiras in São Paulo was announced.

National team

Between 2008 and 2010, Bia was a member of the youth squad of the U-17 national team, with whom she participated in the South American Championships in Chile ( 2008 ) and Brazil ( 2010 ), as well as at the World Championships in New Zealand ( 2008 ) and on Trinidad & Tobago ( 2010 ) could participate. In 2012 she was part of the U-20 selection with which she won the South American Championship in her own country ( 2012 ) and took part in the World Championship in Japan ( 2012 ).

Bia made her debut in the national team's senior squad on May 14, 2011 at the age of seventeen in a friendly against Chile in Maceió . National coach Kleiton Lima immediately took her into the starting line-up. At the World Cup in Germany 2011 she was substituted on in the preliminary round match against Equatorial Guinea on July 6 in Frankfurt am Main . However , Bia only became a fixture in the Selecão feminino from 2014, even if she was not considered for the South American Championship in Ecuador in 2014 . At the World Cup in Canada in 2015 , she came on June 17, against Costa Rica to a use by substitution.

At the South American Championships in Chile in 2018 , Bia was the top scorer in the Brazilian squad with six goals in five appearances.
