The Selbach is a creek about five kilometers long in the Königsforst , which flows into the Flehbach from the left north of the Rath / Heumar district of Cologne opposite the Erkermühle .

The uppermost source of the Selbach lies on the western slope of the Mergelsberg in the Königsforst, west of the Rösrath district of Forsbach .
It flows for about five kilometers through the Königsforst nature reserve , first westwards to near the northeast corner of the Rather settlement border, then along its north towards the Mauspfad , finally next to this road now about northwards. Opposite the Erkermühle, the Selbach finally joins the Flehbach from the left .
The Selbach is registered as a protected landscape component under number LB 8.08 .
