Self-Realization Fellowship / Yogoda Satsanga Society of India is a global spiritual organization founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda . It is headquartered in Los Angeles, California .

To this day, the group, which wants to bring about a better understanding between people, manages Yogananda's humanitarian life's work. The community not only has its roots in the Christian religion, but a. also committed to Hinduism , Islam , Buddhism and Judaism .

Affiliated temples and meditation centers around the world are maintained .

After the founder's death in 1952, Rajarsi Janakananda (James J. Lynn), a close confidante of Yogananda, headed the organization. He was followed in 1955 by Daya Mata (Faye Wright), one of the first and closest disciples of Yogananda, as president. Mrinalini Mata was President from 2011 to 2017. Her successor is Brother Chidananda.

Elvis Presley has frequently visited SRF facilities unnoticed by the public and used them as a place of rest and reflection. He had a close friendship with Daya Mata.
