Selikumer Park

The Selikumer Park is a park in the Selikum district of Neuss west of Reuschenberg Castle . Sights include the Erft, a tree collection, the Neuss children's farm established in 1978 and the Selikum game reserve with a herd of fallow deer .

Arboretum

The tree collection ( arboretum ) was created in 1955 on the initiative of Heinrich de Cleur (1907–1991). Planted include sequoia , ironwood , tulip and handkerchief trees , which were native to the region 60 to 2.4 million years ago. The other trees presented include sweetgum , bald cypress , fan-leaf tree and Chinese redwood .
