Selja Ahava

Selja Ahava (born July 8, 1974 in Finland ) is a Finnish author .

Life

Ahava studied dramaturgy at the Helsinki Theater Academy until 2001 . She subsequently lived in London for five years before returning to Finland. She wrote scripts for feature films and television series and was the author of audio books and in 2010 her first novel Eksyneen muistikirja , which was also published in German in 2014. For things that fall from the sky ( Taivaalta tippuvat asiat ) she was one of twelve authors to receive the European Union Literature Prize in 2016 .

Ahava lives with her family in Porvoo on the Gulf of Finland .
