The Seminarium annuntiationis ( Chinese  领 报 修院 , Pinyin Lǐngbào xiūyuàn ) is a Catholic church built from 1895 to 1908 in the neo-Gothic French style in the village of Shuyuancun 书院 村 in the Bailu 白鹿 镇 community of Pengzhou , Chengdu , in the southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan . It belonged to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Chengdu . The facility later served as a seminary for the training of Catholic missionaries for south-west China . In 1934 the outbuildings were destroyed by a stream of mud and it was subsequently abandoned. It continued to be a popular setting for Chinese weddings.

Since 2006 the Seminarium annuntiationis has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-1039).

In the severe earthquake in Wenchuan on May 12, 2008 , the entire facility was almost completely destroyed.
