Semyon Lvovich Farada

Semjon Lwowitsch Farada ( Russian Семён Львович Фарада ; actually Semjon Lwowitsch Ferdman , Russian: Семён Львович Фердман; born December 31, 1933 in Moscow ; † August 20, 2009 ibid) was a Russian actor .

Farada initially worked as a mechanical engineer and appeared in amateur theaters. He made his film debut in 1967 at the age of 33; over 70 other films followed. He was on stage for over 30 years in Moscow's Taganka Theater , where he enjoyed success as Hamlet and in The Master and Margarita . His films spanned both adventurous and serious subjects, including 1980's The Garage , and made him a respected actor.

After a stroke in 2000, he was forced to withdraw. Farada was married to the actress Marina Polizeimako ; their son Michail Polizeimako is also active as an actor.
