Vegetative characteristics
Sempervivum cantabricum grows as an open rosette plant with a diameter of 2 to 5 centimeters and forms strong runners up to 6 centimeters long . The oblong, obovate, sparsely to densely downy-haired leaves have an attached tip. They are dark green and have red tips. Your leaf blade is 20 to 35 millimeters long and about 10 millimeters wide.
Generative characteristics
The flowering shoot reaches a length of up to 16 centimeters. The many-flowered inflorescence consists of 15 to 30 flowers. The nine to twelve-fold flowers have a diameter of up to 1.8 centimeters. Their sepals are blunt. The red, pink or white petals have a length of 9 to 10 millimeters and are about 2 millimeters wide. The stamens and the anthers are red.
