The Regensburg transmitter on the Upper Wöhrd in Regensburg was a facility of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation to broadcast a radio program on the medium wave frequency ( community wave ) 1484 kHz with a transmission power of two kW . Later the power was reduced to 1 kW and the frequency changed to 1602 kHz. The transmitter was only in operation in the evenings and at night when the Ismaning transmitter was masked to the northeast. He used a 50 meter high transmission mast as a transmitting antenna . The Regensburg transmitter was shut down on October 15, 1969 when the new transmitters in Ismaning and on the Dillberg were put into operation. The transmitter was soon dismantled and a waterworks has been in its place since 1970.

A second medium wave location was on the US barracks on Landshuter Strasse / Zeißstrasse. From there it was first transmitted on 1304 kHz, from November 23, 1978 on 1485 kHz with 300 watts of power. The tower and antenna are not known in detail. In the course of the location resolution, the location was shut down.

A third medium-wave location existed for a short time at the Regensburg-Ziegetsberg telecommunications tower . From January to April 2003, the program was broadcast by mega radio on 819 kHz with 5 kW transmission power. A 50 meter long wire was used, which was attached to the tower shaft of the FMT. After Megaradio went bankrupt, the antenna was dismantled in 2003.
