Josef "Sepp" Dostthaler (born January 9, 1965 in Brannenburg ) is a German bobsleigh driver .

Career

In 1991 Josef Dostthaler became Junior World Champion in the two-man bobsleigh with Mike Sehr . A year later he won the German championship, three more followed. In the same year he won his first bronze medal at the European Championships . This was followed by three more bronze medals at an EM, in 1993 and 1996 in St. Moritz and in Winterberg 1999 . At the European Championships in 1997 , he won silver.

At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , he competed in the two-man bobsleigh. In the two-man bobsleigh with Bogdan Musiol , he finished twelfth.

Dostthaler is currently working as a trainer for the bobsleigh and sledge association for Germany .
