Sepp Wiedemann

Sepp Wiedemann (born on July 16, 1941 in Gröditz ) is a former German soccer player and judoka .

In 1959 he came to ASK Vorwärts Rostock , with whom he played from 1967 to 1973 after moving it to Stralsund and under the club name Vorwärts Stralsund. After the 1970/1971 season he rose with the club in the top division of the GDR , the Oberliga . He was also in the squad for the GDR junior national team.

Sepp Wiedemann is a qualified sports teacher. His last position in the NVA was corvette captain . At PSV Rostock he trained young judo players.

In 2014 he was awarded the Badge of Honor of the Rostock City Sports Association in gold.
