Josef "Sepp" Zehnder (born December 18, 1974 ) is a former Swiss ski jumper .
Career
Zehnder jumped in the Continental Cup (COC) from 1991 . On January 19, 1992, he also jumped for the first time in Engelberg in the ski jumping World Cup . In this as well as the following jumping he was unsuccessful and without points. It was not until March 20, 1993 that he was able to win his first World Cup points with 23rd place in ski flying in Planica . This also made him 23rd at the 1993 Ski Flying World Championships . In the following years he remained partially unsuccessful in the Continental Cup and also in the World Cup competitions, in which he competed, he could only achieve World Cup points again in Falun in 1995 . He celebrated his greatest success on the 24th Black Forest Tour in 1994, which he won after a 5th place in Schönwald and a 3rd place in Neustadt, where he jumped a hill record of 116 m. After further unsuccessful years, Zehnder ended his active ski jumping career after the 1997/98 World Cup season by participating in the 1998 World Ski Flying Championships in Oberstdorf .
