Serge Vinçon
Serge Vinçon (born June 17, 1949 , † December 16, 2007 in Paris ) was a French politician .
Life
Vinçon was a college teacher. In 1981 the UMP member was elected mayor of Saint-Amand-Montrond , Nottuln's French partner municipality . He held the office until his death. He was elected to the Senate for the first time on September 24, 1989, and was confirmed in office on September 27, 1998. From 2002 Vinçon was chairman of the Senate's Foreign and Defense Committee. He was also Vice President of the Senate. He died in December 2007 after a long and serious illness in the Val-de-Grâce military hospital in Paris.
