Sergei Igorewitsch Kamenski ( Russian Сергей Игоревич Каменский ; born October 7, 1987 in Bijsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian sports shooter . He shoots with the small bore rifle and the air rifle .
successes
Sergei Kamenski was runner-up in the team competition in Munich in 2010 with an air rifle . Another silver medal followed in 2014 when he took second place in the individual competition in the three-position battle with the small-bore rifle. In 2018 he finally won his first title: he won both the individual competition with the air rifle and the team competition in the three-position battle. In addition, he secured another silver medal with the team in the air rifle classification.
At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , Kamenski took part in three competitions. With the air rifle he finished 16th, while he was the first in the qualification to set a new Olympic record with the small bore rifle lying at 50 meters and 629.0 points. In the final, however, he just missed winning a medal with 165.8 points in fourth. In the three-position battle , Kamenski shot another Olympic record in qualification, with 1184 points he took first place. In the final he was only 0.3 points behind Niccolò Campriani with 458.5 points , whose result was also a new Olympic record. Thus Kamenski received the silver medal in second place.
He won further medals at the 2019 European Games in Minsk . After remaining without a medal in 2015 , he has now secured gold in the three-position fight and the mixed competition with the air rifle, and he also received silver in the individual with the air rifle.
