Sergei Ivanovich Rudenko
Sergei Ivanovich Rudenko ( Russian Сергей Иванович Руденко ; born January 16, 1885 in Charkow , † July 16, 1969 in Leningrad ) was a Russian archaeologist .
In 1947 he uncovered the richly furnished burial mounds ( Kurgane ) of the Pasyryk stage of Pasyryk , Tuekta and Baschadar in the Altai high mountains and made sensational finds that are exhibited today in the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg , including the Pasyryk carpet and the 4th century BC Pazyryk harp Chr.
