Rodrigue "Roddy" Beaubois (born February 24, 1988 in Pointe-à-Pitre , Guadeloupe ) is a French basketball player who played from 2009 to 2013 for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA . He is 188 cm tall and is mostly used as a shooting guard .

Career

Beaubois was selected 25th in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder . He was transferred to the Dallas Mavericks shortly after against Byron Mullens and a future second-round pick . He had previously played for Cholet Basket in France.

During his first NBA season, Beaubois was able to establish himself as an important building block of the team and in March 2010 JJ Barea was preferred as the first backup for Jason Kidd . On March 28, he scored his previous career best of 40 points and 8 rebounds in the game against the Golden State Warriors . With the Mavericks, Beaubois won the 2011 NBA championship, although he was on the bench for most of the season. After the 2012/13 season , Beaubois received no new contract in the NBA.

He signed on March 26, 2014 with the Belgian first division club Spirou BC Charleroi . For the 2014/15 season, Beaubois moved back to Le Mans Sarthe Basket in France. In the summer of 2015 he moved to the league competitor Strasbourg IG .
