Sergei Petrovich Mogilnikow ( Russian Сергей Петрович Могильников ; born September 28, 1958 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a former Kazakh ice hockey player and current coach of the Kazakh team Kasachmys Satpajew .

Player career

Sergei Mogilnikow began his career in 1976 in the second Soviet division with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk and made it to the top division of the Soviet Union with the team in the 1986/87 season . In 1988 the striker moved to the second Soviet division for the Kazakh club Awtomobilist Karaganda , where he played until 1992. Then he was committed by the Russian first division club Metallurg Magnitogorsk for two seasons. Another station in the 1994/95 season was Rubin Tyumen . In 1995 he returned to his hometown club in Ust-Kamenogorsk, where he ended his active career in 1997.

Mogilnikow played seven games for Kazakhstan at the 2003 Ice Hockey World Cup , scoring two goals and five assists.

Coaching career

In the 2003/04 season Mogilnikow took over the coaching position for the Kazakh team Gornjak Rudny . Since 2008 he has been coaching the Kazakh team Kazakhmys Satpajew . In 2011 he returned to Rudny.
