Sergei Wladimirowitsch Polyakow ( Russian Серге́й Владимирович Поляков ; born January 22, 1968 in Vinnytsia , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former Russian sports shooter .

Sergei Polyakov took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , where he competed over 25 m with the rapid fire pistol. Like Ralf Schumann and Sergei Alifirenko , he achieved the best score in qualification with 592 points. In the final, Polyakov shot another 100.7 points and came up with a total of 692.7 points, with which he finished the competition behind Schumann and in front of Alifirenko in second place and received the silver medal.

As early as 1994, Polyakov was world champion at the World Championships in Milan with the large-bore pistol in the team competition, while he won the silver medal in the team competition with the free pistol . In 2006 in Zagreb he became world champion again with the large-bore team and vice world champion in team competitions with the rapid-fire pistol and the standard pistol. In 2003 he became European champion with the rapid fire pistol.

Polyakov is married and has two children. His hometown club is the Yekaterinburg Army Sports Club.
