Sergio Asteriti

Sergio Asteriti (born February 13, 1930 in Venice ) is an Italian comic artist .

Career

A few years after his school days, Asteriti moved from Venice to Milan and worked there for the advertising agency SPINTA. After the agency went bankrupt in 1954, he took a job as a draftsman at Studio Alpe in 1955 and drew the comic strip "Bingo Bongo". In 1959 he moved to the Milan studio Dami , for which he also drew his own comic strips for children. He also designed cinema posters . In 1963 he went to Mondadori , the Italian licensee of Disney comics, and drew and wrote Mickey Mouse and Duck comics.

Publications in Germany

In Germany, his comics for Mondadori were mainly published in the funny paperback .
