Sergio Feferovich

Sergio Feferovich (* in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine conductor and music teacher.

Feferovich studied music at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata , followed by a doctorate at Johns Hopkins University . He earned a master's degree in orchestral conducting at the University's Peabody Conservatory and a master's degree in piano from the Catholic University of America . He received u. a. Scholarships and awards from the Organization of American States , the Fundación Amalia Fortabat , the Mozarteum Argentino and the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of Buenos Aires.

For several years he was director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Honduras , as well as being a guest conductor in choirs and orchestras in Argentina, the USA, France, El Salvador, Uruguay and Mexico. As leader of a string orchestra, he performed compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Antonio Vivaldi , Richard Strauss , Vittorio Monti , in the program La vuelta al mundo en un violin in England, Hungary, Austria, France, Greece, China, the USA, Brazil and Argentina . Leroy Anderson , Gerra Peixe and Astor Piazzolla for children. In 2007 he received a Premio Teatro del Mundo for the best performance for children with the program .
