Sergio Gutiérrez Prieto (born July 11, 1982 in Escalona , Toledo province ) is a Spanish politician of the social democratic PSOE . Since 2007 he has been Secretary General of the PSOE youth organization Juventudes Socialistas de España , and since 2010 a member of the European Parliament .

Life

Gutiérrez Prieto studied law at the Complutense University of Madrid , where he graduated in 2005. Before that he was active in numerous political bodies: Among other things, from 1999 to 2004 he was chairman of Unión Progresista de Estudiantes , a student organization closely related to the PSOE. Political positions
