Sergio Lugo

Sergio Lugo Barrón (born April 12, 1957 in Mexico City ) is a former Mexican football player who was used on the right side of defense or in the defensive midfield.

Career

Lugo began his professional career at Atlético Español , a club based in his hometown at the time. In 1981 he moved to Club Deportivo Guadalajara , with whom he won the championship in 1987. There he ended his playing career in 1992, so that he worked for Chivas for a total of eleven years.

Lugo made his international debut on January 13, 1987 against El Salvador (3-1), when he was only used in the first half - just like in his second international game against China (3-2). He played the next three internationals in full, but was never called up again after that, so that the terrific 13-0 success of the Mexicans on April 28, 1987 against the Bahamas was his last international appearance. In total, he completed 360 minutes of international matches or 6 hours in the dress of the Mexican national team .
