Serhiy Danilchenko

Serhij Daniltschenko ( Ukrainian : Сергій Данильченко; born April 27, 1974 in Kharkiv ) is a former Ukrainian boxer .

1998 Danilchenko was with a final against Marian Alexandru, Romania (12: 3), European champion in bantamweight (-54 kg). After several unsuccessful attempts in 1999 Danilchenko qualified at the tournament in Liverpool in 2000 for the Olympic Games in the same year. At the games he then surprisingly reached the semifinals after victories over the winners of the 1998 Asian Games Dingko Singh, India (14: 5), and Justin Kane, Australia (RSC 4th). He denied this against the bronze medalist from 1996 Raimkul Malachbekow , to whom he had to admit defeat with 15:10 points.

2001 Daniltschenko won the bronze medal of the world championships behind Guillermo Rigondeaux , Cuba , and Aghasi Məmmədov , Turkey . In the same year he was second behind Rigondeaux in the Goodwill Games in Brisbane .

In 2002 Daniltschenko turned professional, but ended his career in 2003 after a TKO defeat against a lower class opponent after two fights.
