Serhiy Kravtsov
Serhij Kravtsov ( Ukrainian Сергій Тарасович Кравцов ; born February 15, 1948 in Kharkiv ) is a former Soviet cyclist and national champion in cycling .
Athletic career
Krawzow participated in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City . When Pierre Trentin won , he was classified in 8th place in the 1000 meter time trial . In 1972 and 1976 he also took part in the sprint games.
In 1970 he won the title in the 1000-meter time trial at the Soviet championships. In 1974 he became national sprint champion . At the UCI track world championships in 1971 he was runner- up behind Daniel Morelon in the sprint of amateurs . He also won the silver medal in 1974 , this time behind Anton Tkáč . That year he won the Copenhagen Grand Prix in the sprint.
Twice, in 1973 and 1974, he won the GDR Grand Prix in the railroad sprint.
